Note: Intercom renamed itself Fin in May 2026, and Salesforce agreed in June 2026 to acquire the company for $3.6 billion, with the deal expected to close in early 2027. The product is unchanged today. Intercom Fin and Ada both target AI customer support automation, but they fit slightly different motions. Fin is strongest for teams already deep in Intercom, while Ada is attractive for support orgs that want a broader automation layer with strong conversation design controls.
