Tripo

Tripo is for teams that measure 3D generation in assets per day. Where much of the category demos beautifully on a single hero model, Tripo's design choices — aggressive credits-per-dollar, batch generation, up to 200 concurrent tasks — all point at production volume: the game studio filling environments, the e-commerce team converting product photos, the creator iterating through twenty creature variants before lunch.

Quality gets its own answer in Smart Mesh, Tripo's topology system that produces cleaner, more usable geometry than raw generative output — the difference between a mesh you can actually edit and a triangle soup you rebuild from scratch. Tripo Studio adds editing and refinement tools on top, so light cleanup can happen without round-tripping to Blender, and an API serves teams that treat generation as pipeline infrastructure.

The tradeoffs are the category's usual ones plus a pricing quirk: hero-quality assets still want human retopology and texturing, the built-in editor is no DCC replacement, and the near-50% gap between monthly and annual billing effectively demands the annual commitment. Tripo wins where throughput and mesh usability per dollar decide the purchase — which, for working game teams, is most days.
